Almost done! (I hope)

Hi! It's been quite a while since I posted any updates, sorry to all those who are eagerly awaiting the game release, but don't worry, development is in full swing!

However, I post almost daily about what I'm doing on my Twitter. Additionally, I share artworks of characters from the game, comics featuring my OC, conduct polls, and share various interesting thoughts there. You can participate in game development by communicate with me there. I would love to hear your opinions and ideas!

What's in the game right now:

  • Story — 100%
  • Visuals — 90%
  • Programming — 78%

Updates mainly involve code improvements. Dialog box display has been enhanced, and a map indicator has been added to better understand your current location. There won't be fast travel since there aren't many locations, and programming such a feature would significantly prolong development.

Visuals:

  • Some backgrounds have been altered to match stylistically, as they were collected from different sources. My favourite backgrounds are still by the author Selavi Games.
  • More location names have been added to the map for better orientation and more information about the world.
  • The style of the quick menu has been changed. Initially, I download the menu design from the user Skolaztika, but now I've almost completely redesigned it.
  • All elements for two puzzles have been drawn (although originally only one was planned, but then I decided that two would be much more interesting and would better acquaint you with the main character). Here's how they look:

However, there's a problem with them being of different styles (due to the long time gap between working on them). I'm still considering which style is better. If I decide to redraw everything in the style of the backpack puzzle, the game release will be postponed again. But on the other hand, I really want everything to look beautiful and original. I would appreciate advice!

For me, working on location transitions and puzzle programming remains a priority. Visual improvements are in second place. Besides that...

I have news! I plan to release the game on Steam!

Of course, this comes with some difficulties, and this idea was one of the reasons I postponed the release (along with personal reasons). But I really want as many people as possible to see the game. And yes, the game will also be released on itch.io. Here's one of the Steam capsule images:

I plan to make the game paid, and the price on Steam will vary depending on the region and country. On itch.io, there will be a static price, but I'm open to you suggesting your own price.

Additionally, I have a page on Patreon. You can subscribe to me for free and see more about the biographies of my characters and the story of their creation, get some drawing tips, coding tips, and more.

And if you upgrade your subscription, you'll receive high-resolution colouring pages featuring different furry characters in various styles, which you can use however you like (print on paper or color digital version in editors, or use as a reference for your own work, BUT not resell the original). Also, through this subscription, you'll have access to original erotic drawings of my characters.

Plus, for just $3, you can get a copy of my game through this subscription as soon as it's released!

General information:

  • Since I've often been wrong with forecasts, I won't give a specific release date, but I plan to finish the game this spring.
  • The game is planned to be released on itch.io and Steam.
  • OS — Windows, Linux, Mac. I'm also considering adding a mobile version after the game's release.
  • Language — English. With a patch, Ukrainian and Chinese (machine) translations are planned. Other languages are possible.

Thank you so much everyone for supporting me and waiting for the game release! All the links where I dwell: https://linktr.ee/ecclesiaferiae
